We hope you don’t have any support issues but if you do, you’ve come to the right place. First, a few FAQs. If these don’t answer your questions, please email us so we can help.
- How the heck do I use this app?
- Start with My Profile and then go back to the big brain in the middle. Start poking around and see what you find. Skills and Targets are good places to go just to see what the app has to offer. You won’t break it, we promise. And if you do have specific questions, send an email. We’ll get back to you quickly. We have also prepared a few walkthroughs of the app so you can work on getting oriented.
- Help! My app crashes when I try to open it!
- Ah, the unfortunate consequence of software programming. Version 1.1.1, which is out now on the App Store fixes the problem. Please update your app and all should be well.
- Help! My app doesn’t crash but it shows the spinning sprocket animation as soon as I open it!
- The app hasn’t crashed but it’s generating your diary card. Chances are, what’s happened is that you had the app programmed to send your diary card automatically and the date for sending it has passed. The app is generating the diary card as soon as it launches. Give it a few seconds to finish making the PDF and all will be well.
- How do I stop my music playback?
- When you start playback in the app and then move elsewhere in the app, you’ve got to go back to where the playback controls can be seen. Right now, that’s through the Music selection in 911 Skills (the quickest way) or through the Coaching module, under hearing. We know, that’s counter-intuitive and not easy at all. We’re working on it.
- I changed therapists/don’t like this song anymore/want to get rid of an App in my 911 skills. How do I do it?
- Like all good iOS apps, swiping actions can help here. Just swipe across the line of the item you’d like to delete and you’ll be greeted by a red “Delete” button. Tap that, and it’s gone.
- What do “skill” and “target” mean?
- Skills, in DBT language, are behaviors you engage in to make your life better or to minimize the suffering you’re in. If you’ve ever been in a DBT group, skills are what you learned.
- A Target is therapy language for things you’re focused on addressing. This could be some emotion you want to reduce, behavior you want to change or something you want to do more of. You aim at targets. Gettit?
- Oh, no! I deleted an item I want! How do I get it back?
- You didn’t delete it unless you actually erased the name and description. You probably just turned it off. Go to My Profile and then to Targets Management to turn it back on.
- I have a great skill and I want to share it. How do I do that?
- Send us a request. We’re working to make it easier to share ideas, but that’s a future item.
